Two winners of the Iron Saddle Ranch Rodeo Queen competition are headed to national competition early next year in Oklahoma.

Those advancing are Faith Robbins of Fairview Heights in the Miss Division and Adeline Douglas of Salem in the Teen Division.

Robbins says she was speechless when her name was announced as the winner.

“Competition started with horsemanship and then we went into our personal interviews where we had one-on-one time with the judges.  And from there we went and gave a 2-minute prepared speech as well as an impromptu question and modeling on stage.”

This was Robbins’ firsttry at winning a preliminary pageant for Miss Rodeo USA.  She previously had won another title, but this was her first for Miss Rodeo USA.  Robbins also won for Best in Horsemanship. Hailey Viars was first runner up and Best in Personality. Ananiah Barbee was second runner up.

Douglas says she is very excited about winning and advancing in the Teen Division.

“It was a very long day.  A very early morning.  We woke up bright and early and got the horses ready.  We had a bunch of different events and it was awesome!”

Douglas also won for Best in Personality and Best in Horsemanship. 1st runner up was Jessie Ash.

In the Princess Division, Addisynn Schackmann was named Miss Iron Saddle Rodeo Princess. She also won Best in Speech. Daisy Reagan was first runner up and Best in Personality.

The queen pageant was part of an International Professional Rodeo held at Iron Saddle on September 29th. $23,157 in prize money was awarded at the rodeo.

Top winners were Stetson Bierman in Bareback Bronc, Hudson Bolton for Bull Riding, Kyle Cavender in Saddle Bronc, Hadley Deshazo 1st in Tie-Down Roping, Caleb Little 1st in Steer Wrestling, Ashley Ketron first in Cowgirl Barrel Racing, Casey Hicks and Stitches Stanley first in Team Roping and Maddie Branum 1st in Cowgirl Breakaway.
