Lady Cats 5th At 1a State Golf Finals

The Salem Lady Cats set a record for best team finish at a state golf tournament as they were 5^th in the 1a tournament held at Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur.

Mt Carmel won their 3^rd straight state title with Sacred Heart Griffin runner up followed by Peoria Notre Dame, Massac County and then Salem.

Taylor Ice finished 23^rd overall with her 167.  Mya Russell had a great 2^nd day getting to 29^th, Alyssa Paul 179 was 40^th, Jaryn Haarmann’s 185 good for 54^th, Kylie Johnson shot 209 to finish 75^th and Mak Man had to withdraw after Friday due to illness.
