The Salem Wildcats will host Columbia tonight with a lot on the line and a lot going on. First it’s Homecoming and Senior Night at Jim Finks Field as the 3-3 Salem Wildcats are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive hosting the 1-5 Eagles who struggled early with a very young offensive line and freshman quarterback, but is coming off a 42-0 win over Wood River last week to get that first win of the season and they are playing much better than earlier in the year. Salem is coming off a tough loss at Breese Central and try to get back on track after dropping their last 2 games. Game time on WJBD tonight is at 7pm.
Also in the conference tonight, Breese Central plays at 5th ranked and unbeaten Roxana in a battle for first in the Cahokia. Both teams are unbeaten in league play. 3-2 Freeburg is at winless Wood River.
The Centralia Orphans are coming off their most impressive performance of the year with a Homecoming win over Marion last week, they will continue South Seven play tonight when they travel to Cahokia.
Also tonight, Carlyle is at Sparta, Flora goes to Hamilton County, Olney hosts Paris, Vandalia is at home with Hillsboro, Mater Dei is at 6th ranked Althoff and Mount Vernon is at Granite City.
