Two people were injured in a pickup truck-car crash on US 51 at the Red Stripe Road intersection south of Sandoval early Friday night.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports the pickup driven by 26-year-old Seth Hoffman of Beckemeyer was westbound on Red Stripe Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign and his truck was hit in the passenger side by a southbound car driven by 43-year-old Robin Burton of East Robin Road in Mt. Both Burton and passenger, 44-year-old Tangi Altom of Randolph Drive, were treated on the scene by Sandoval ambulance and fire and then transported to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Altom was later transferred to St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
Hoffman was not injured. He was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
