The SIJHSAA State Baseball and Softball Tournaments will get underway on Saturday.
The Class L Tournaments will be held at Rotary Park in Centralia. The baseball matchups are Marion and Carterville at 10, Waterloo and Whiteside at 11, DuQuoin and Benton at noon and then Olney and Breese at 1. The state semifinals will be played Tuesday with the state trophy games next Thursday afternoon.
The softball tournament will see DuQuoin and Hamilton County at 10, Olney and Wesclin at 11, Massac and Carterville at noon and Sparta Lincoln and Wolfe Branch at 1.
The Class M Tournaments will be at the Perry County Fairgrounds in Pinckneyville. The baseball tournament opens with Trico and Smithton at 9:30, Christopher and Gallatin County at 11:30, Aviston and Nashville at 1:30 and then Goreville and Maryville Christian at 3:30.
The softball tournament will see Smithton and Nashville at 9:30, Jonesboro and Red Bud at 11:30, Crab Orchard and Coulterville/Marissa at 1:30 and Carrier Mills and Fairfield at 3:30.
The Class S Tournaments will be held at the Coulterville City Park. The baseball tournament opens with St John Lutheran and Bluford/Farrington at 9:30, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St Joe Olney at 11:30, Crab Orchard and St Peter and Paul at 1:30 and Altamont Lutheran takes on Shawnee at 3:30.
The softball tournament opens with Pope County and Waltonville at 9:30, Century and Summersville at 11:30, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and New Hope at 1;30 and St Johns Lutheran and Trinity St Mary’s at 3:30.
