Mt. Vernon Police are seeking two suspects in a Thursday night shooting in the parking lot behind Times Square Mall.
The 18-year-old male victim was flown from a local hospital to a regional facility for further treatment and was last listed in stable condition.
Mt. Vernon Police say soon after they responded to a report of gunshots in the 3900 block of Broadway, the local hospital reported having a victim with a gunshot wound.
Mt. Vernon Police and a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the hospital in addition to the mall. An on-duty detective immediately started investigating the incident and other detectives with the Mt. Vernon Police Department were called in to assist with the investigation.
