A gospel concert is set for the Marion County Fairgrounds Saturday night.
Host Chris White is hoping the event can become an annual one.
“We have vendors to be there all day and that will be a plus for us. We have a live concert that will be free. We are bringing in Jackson Heights from Nashville, Tennessee. They are a wonderful gospel group. We have 3 opening local acts, Lincoln Trail Gospel, Joe Telford & Laila Smith and Jim and Margaret Phillips, and they are going to start about 5:00 p.m. We will take a love offering but the event is free.”
White says the food vendors will be on hand all afternoon as they are also serving the PKC Superstakes and Youth Raccoon Hunt also taking place at the fairgrounds this week.
