A 44-year-old Centralia man has been charged in Marion County Court with financial institution fraud of over $10,000.
Emanuel Neal of Cormick Street was arrested at the courthouse on Monday while there on another case by Salem Police following an investigation that police said had started in April.
During his first appearance, State’s Attorney Tim Hudspeth did not seek to detain Neal under the new cashless bond law. As part of his release, Neal was ordered to have no contact with the Salem bank involved in the charge and a second bank in Centralia.
A preliminary hearing in the case is set for October 26th.
