An 18-year-old rural Kell woman received apparent minor injuries following a two vehicle crash on Route 37 at the England Road intersection south of Salem on Saturday.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports Rachel Maas of Crowley Road was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting a vehicle in front of her driven by a 16-year-old male juvenile from Dix. The 16-year-old had slowed for a vehicle in front of him that was preparing to make a turn. The third vehicle was not involved in the crash.
Mass was taken by United Medical Response to Salem Township Hospital for treatment. The 16-year-old driver and three passengers in his car all escaped injury.
The crash was reported at 12:41 Saturday afternoon.
