A 30-year-old Salem woman has been transferred by medical helicopter to a regional hospital after falling down and being run over by her boyfriend’s van following a verbal domestic dispute.

Salem Police say the incident occurred just after midnight Monday morning on Oglesby near the intersection of North Broadway where the two shared a home.

30-year-old Crystal Easley reportedly fell while pounding on the window of the van driven by 39-year-old Brady Vermass. As he began pulling away, Easley allegedly fell down and was run over by one of the rear wheels of the van.

Easley was initially taken to Salem Township Hospital and then transferred to a regional hospital for treatment of injuries.

Vermass was ticketed by Salem Police for reckless driving and disregarding the stop sign at the Oglesby and North Broadway intersection.

Police say the disagreement had apparently started earlier inside their home and moved outside as Vermass prepared to leave.
