It was the Salem boys and girls Match Play at the Country Club this weekend.
Both the boys and girls from Salem won their events. The boys were led by Jairen Stroud, Cale Harris, Rhett Detering and Kyler Sapp for all finishing 1st in their groups. Logan Lockhart and Landen Maxey were 2nd in theirs.
Centralia was 3rd as a team and freshman Jaxson Hancock was first in No. 4 flight.
The Salem Lady Wildcats got first places from Alyssa Paul, Mya Russell, Jaryn Haarmann and Kylie Johnson. Mak Mann and Kiley Vieira were 2nd. Breese Central was 2nd behind Salem with 19 points to the Lady Cats 22.
The Salem Wildcats will compete at the Cahokia Championships at Governor’s Run today.
