CORLHS at Edwardsville HS Invitational at SIUE campus

The Christ Our Rock XC team continues to run well! They ran at a big meet this morning at Edwardsville held on the campus of SIU-E. (Edwardsville Invitational). Running against several 2A and 3A Illinois schools and several large schools from the St. Louis, Mo area, The Stallions held their own! Medals were given out to the Top 50 runners.

In the Girls Varsity Race there was 124 runners and Sr. Sarah McKowen bettered her time from the previous year by 1:28 finishing 14th in a time of 21:05. Woodlawn Freshman Zelena Koch had a solid performance finishing 29th (22:00.9) and CORLHS Stallions Jr. Rylee Brammeier also medaled in 31st place(22:11).

The Stallion Boys squad did not dissapoint this morning either. They finished 8th out of 20 teams represented and 17 with team scores. 5 of the 7 teams who beat them were bigger schools from Missouri and the other 2 from Illinois were 3A Edwardsville HS and 2A Mascoutah.

The Stallions Boys placed 3 runners medaling in the Top 50 out of the 262 Varsity Boys runners in the race. Sr. Elijah Gregory ran a fantastic time for the hilly and rugged tough terrain 3.1mi course finishing 19th (17:05). Jr. Zerek Koch really stepped it up today as well medaling in 34th place(18:17), Fr. Carson Pigg fought stomach issue but battled through the tough course to medal in 36th(18:20). Jr. Isaiah Lyons bettered his course time from a year ago tremendously finishing 75th(19:49) and Fr. Wyatt Gregory continues to run a solid #5 finishing 85th(20:35). Fr. Anderson Engele had a solid race 95th(21:30) and So. Liagel Lyons bettered his time by almost 2mins 116th(24:50).
