A 65-year-old Sandoval man was treated for apparent minor injuries and arrested for alleged DUI following a crash on Old US 51 north of Red Stripe Road south of Sandoval early Saturday morning.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Leonard Wilkes of Texas Avenue in Sandoval ran off the road and hit a disabled pickup on the shoulder driven by 46-year-old Jason Whitehouse of Old US 51 in Sandoval. Whitehouse and a passenger escaped injury. Wilkes was treated on the scene by Sandoval EMS before being taken to the Marion County Jail on the DUI arrest.
The crash occurred at 2:31 on Saturday morning.
