The Selmaville Rockets recently hosted Woodlawn and honored their 8th graders with a 14-4 victory. Nicholi Marhanka drove in 4 runs on the day to lead the Rockets who scored 9 times in the first inning. Walker Crank tripled and scored 3 runs, Tripp Garden singled and scored along with Carter Shanafelt, Logan Butts also scored a run. Porter Lewis added an RBI in the 2nd inning. Jaxon Ward was the winning pitcher going 5 innings allowing 5 hits and 4 runs with 9 strikeouts.
The Franklin Park Bobcats beat visiting Centralia 19-4 yesterday at Bobcat Field. Kyler King doubled along with Scout Puricelli. Kai Graham and Caleb Squibb drove in 3 runs each Salem got 2 RBI from Puricelli, Owen Tennyson, Silas Lux and Trenton Shelton. Also adding RBI were King, Huck Mulvaney and Kaden Orrell. Mulvaney was the winning pitcher striking out 5 and allowing 1 hit.
