With just 36 points the Stallions won the Sparta Invitational this afternoon. Senior Elijah Gregory led the way winning the meet individually as well finishing 1st place in a time of 16:17. Also medaling for the Stallion Boys and cracking the Top 5 were Fr. Carson Pigg in 4th place(17:23) and Junior Zerek Koch in 5th place (17:38). Jr. Isaiah Lyons also had an incredible race for the Stallions finishing 11th (18:32), while Freshman Wyatt Gregory rounded out the scoring, passing a group of runners into the chute to take 18th(19:50).
Anderson Engele was a strong number 6 for the Stallions in 36th place(21:04) while Liagel Lyons finished 53rd(24:23).
The Lady Stallions also had a superb day in Sparta as Senior Sarah McKowen ran very well and was the race runner up in 2nd(19:54) and her teammate Jr. Rylee Brammeier was next behind her in 3rd place (21:21). Woodlawn HS freshman Zelena Koch also had a strong performance cracking the top 5, finishing 5th (22:07).
