On Saturday the Wildcat golfers competed at the Benton Invitational and senior Jairen Stroud was the low-score for the tournament shooting 3-under 69. Salem was 2nd overall with all 5 players in the top16 of the tournament. Landen Maxey shot 81 tied for 11th along with Rhett Detering, Logan Lockhart was 14th shooting 82, Cale Harris 83 for 16th.
Benton shot 301 for the team title followed by Salem 313, Anna 323 for 3rd.
The varsity will host Mt Vernon and Carlyle on Tuesday who are both coached by former Wildcat’s Zeke Light and Brenden Boles.
The Salem Lady Cats golf team is in action today at Teutopolis.
The Salem JV Wildcat golfers are in action today at Colonial Golf Course against Sandoval.
