The organizer of the Salem Super Cruise is pleased with the turnout for this year’s event. Ken Carpenter liked the new location in Bryan Memorial Park.

“Thought the location was better this year than behind Super 8.  I was really happy with the crowd.  We had about 94 cars.”

The cruise through town took a new route and while the crowd was sparse around the rear of Salem Township Hospital a good crowd was on hand to watch the cruise along Broadway and during the visit to the Antique Power Days at the Marion County Fairgrounds.

Many trophies were given away, including the Best of Show Award won by Ken Klaybor of DuBois who entered a 1968 Chevelle SS.

Carpenter says he’d like to return to Bryan Memorial Park next year and try and grow the event.
