A 27-year-old Salem man has been arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies for alleged theft of a motor vehicle and theft from a motor vehicle.
Deputies say Shane Parker of South College was found walking near a one-vehicle crash on Racetrack Road south of Copple Road in rural Walnut Hill. They determined the vehicle had been stolen from Walnut Hill.
Parker reportedly escaped injury in the crash. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
The crash was first reported at 3:03 Sunday morning.
The investigation is on-going.
