Tune Trucking was a double winner in the Patoka Fall Festival Parade on Saturday winning both the Best Theme Award and the Mayor’s Choice.
The theme of this year’s parade was ‘Honoring Past, Present and Future Heroes’ with the Patoka Fire Department and EMS serving as the Grand Marshals.
Other adult float winners were the Brandi Meyer Family for Most Patriotic, Southern Sno Most Colorful, and the Patoka Patriots Baseball Team Most Creative.
In the youth division, the entry by Stephanie Spicer, Courtney Ulm, and Lura Thompson won for Best Theme. The FFA won for Most Original.
In the Antique Tractor competition, Hayden Torrence was first, Noah Reynolds second, and Stevie Wilkerson third.
In the Show Cars, Eugene and Evonne Brown took first with a 1968 Orange Chevelle. Jim Watson was second with a 1965 White Chevelle. Terry Smith was third with a 1940 Plymouth Truck.
David Durbin won the competition for Best Decorated UTV.
The Spirit Award went to Studio 50. The Wildcard award went to the Wee Woo Wagon.
In the Kids Bikes competition, three dressed as Wonder Woman Maybree Goldsboro, Libertee Garner, and Charlee Murray took first. Lianna Rupert was second and Arian Ruppert third.
In the Adult Best Dressed Horse and Rider, Nita Kurtz and Ethan Kleiboeker took first and Clint Thalman was second.
In the Kid Best Dressed Horse and Rider, Chesni Adams was first, Adalyn Griffin second, and Jessa Thalman was third.
A good crowd lined the parade route through Patoka to the park and then stayed to enjoy lunch, the carnival, and a variety of other activities.
