Another arrest has been made as a round-up of suspects wanted in connection with selling illegal controlled substances in the Salem area.
The Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force arrested 23-year-old Jeramiah Fink of Quail Run Road in Salem Thursday night on a warrant charging four Class X felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance due to all four transactions occurring less than 500 feet from a school while children were present.
Fink was taken into custody without incident in the area of Mills Cart Road and West Main Street.
Fink posted $7,500 cash bond on a $75,000 bond and was released pending further court action.
The task force reports the arrest is part of an on-going narcotics investigation over several months resulting in the illicit sale of controlled substances. The investigation was a cooperative effort amongst the area police departments in an effort to curb drug usage and violence in the area.
