Fire damaged a home used for storage just south of the Centralia city limits early Thursday morning.
Centralia Fire Protection District Chief Ross Boshera says flames were shooting through the roof of the home at 2400 South Pine upon their arrival. While the structure is still standing, the roof is gone and the miscellaneous items stored inside were a total loss.
The owners, Jeff and Paula Sons, were staying in an RV behind the building and woke up to find the flames around 3:48 Thursday morning.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
The Centralia Fire Protection District had mutual aid on the scene from the City of Centralia, Kell, Odin, and Irvington Firemen while Salem and Sandoval Firemen stood by at the Centralia Fire Protection District in the event of another fire.
The last firemen left the scene at about seven on Thursday morning.
