The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats JV got a big 21-12 win over Carlyle. Max Maciejowski struck out 5 in the circle. Gabby Gooestree drove in 4 runs, 3 of them on a bases loaded triple. Lilly Holsapple, Ziva Owens, Aubrey Parker and Breanna Pennypacker drove in 2 runs each. Maciejowski, Parker, Owens and Teryn Quinn scored 3 runs each. The Franklin Park varsity will host Patoka today.
The Selmaville Lady Rockets nipped Carlyle 4-2. Shelby Johnson and Talya Gowler drove in runs. Samara Simmons, Kaolin Lewis and Keira Meredith each added a hit. Gwen Ryan scored a run, Alli Patrick straight stole home and Alana Howe also scored. Meredith scattered 4 hits and struck out 11 in the win. Selmaville improves to 8-2 on the season and is at Summersville today.
Iuka defeated Field 13-0. Katee Sellers allowed just 1 hit in the win and had 2 hit at the plate with an RBI. Kenley Cripps had a hit and 3 RBI, Emily Jones and Rylee Wilson each drove in runs along with Kenzie McGinnis and Lilly Meyers. Iuka hosts North Clay today.
Trinity/St Mary’s Defenders improved to 4-0 with a 20-1 win over Sandoval. Raylynn Parker was the winning pitcher striking out 6. Rylie Neuhaus had 3 hits including a home run and 6 RBI, Emrie Quick added 3 hits with a double and 3 RBI, Parker had 2 hits with Devny Dodillett driving in 2. The Defenders will play at Woodlawn today.
SC is at Odin after beating Flora yesterday 9-3. Addy Ruholl was the winning pitcher going all 7 allowing 1 earned run and scattered 4 hits. At the plate, Baylee Brown and Maddie Peddicord each tripled and drove in 2 runs each. Annie Ruholl added an RBI along with Kyndl Bolen and Rylan Williams.
