Centralia man gets two years in prison for felony theft

A 51-year-old Centralia man has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty in Marion County Court to felony theft. James Garner admitted to taking a guitar in July of last year. The charge was a felony due to a past conviction. Garner was eligible for an extended term due to a second past felony conviction.

A second count of burglary to a building in the 500 block of North Beech in Centralia was dropped. As part of the sentence, he will receive credit for time already served.
