Congratulations to Eli Baker who tied Eli Davis career scoring record at Salem High School Tuesday with his pair of goals to give him 35 matching the mark set by Davis in a 3-1 win over Lebanon today. The first goal was on an assist from Avery Gullion for the freshman’s first point of his career. Morritz Sattler had the other assist to Baker. The 3rd goal came from Skylar Clark on a corner from Caleb Purintun.
Baker is in just his sophomore season after scoring 28 as a freshman last year. He will have a chance to break the record Thursday at home against Highland.
Eli Davis also did it in a short career as he was a defenseman his freshman year and then missed his soph and junior seasons with a broken back and then Covid. The two greatest scorers in Salem history and both did it in basically under 2 years!
