The Salem Lady Cats got their first win of the season beating visiting Okawville on Dress Like Your Dad night 25-10, 25-20 to improve to 1-2 on the season. The night opened with the freshman losing in 3 sets 21-10, 15-21, 9-15. The JV improved to 3-0 on the year with their 25-10, 25-20 win. Salem will host Columbia on Thursday.
The SC Lady Cougars knocked off Woodlawn in 3 sets 21-25, 25-23, 25-15. Megan Yates had 14 assists, Jalynn Mitchell 9 digs, Emma Chambers 6 kills along with Emma Jenne and Bailey Wodtka. SC won the JV match in 3 sets as well 21-25, 25-12, 15-5 and the Fresh/Soph split their two sets 23-25, 25-22.
