The Salem Lady Wildcats dropped an epic match at home with Teutopolis. Salem won the opening set 25-21 before falling 18-25 in the second setting up a tremendous 3rd and final set. Salem found themselves down 19-23 before rolling all the way back setting up a match point for themselves. The Shoes would battle through and eventually pull out the 30-28 victory. Salem is 0-2 on the season. The night opened with a 2-set win for the freshmen 21-10, 21-17 and the JV also won 25-20, 25-19. The Lady Cats host Okawville on Monday.
South Central dropped their NTC opener on the road to St Anthony 22-25, 21-25. Emma Runge finished with 6 digs, Megan Yates 6 assists, Brooke Cowger had 6 kills and 3 blocks. The JV lost in 3 sets and the Fresh/Soph lost in 2. SC will host Woodlawn on Monday night.
