The Marion County Sheriff’s Department has two burglaries under investigation.   A resident reported a door on a home they were moving into in the 5000 block of US Highway 51 in Sandoval was forced open.  Since they were just moving in, nothing of value was reported missing.  The sheriff’s department and Patoka Police are investigating a storage unit being broken into in the 400 block of Clinton Avenue in Patoka.  Locks were cut off to gain entry.  There were items reported missing.

The sheriff’s department is also investigating a report of criminal damage to property.  A window was broken out of a home in the 4000 block of Sycamore Street north of Salem.  The report indicated an electrical box may have also been tampered with.
