Police Beat for Thursday, August 17th, 2023

A 40-year-old Jason Kelly of Airport Road in Salem has been arrested by Salem Police for alleged criminal damage to property and possession of methamphetamine.

Centralia Police arrested 21-year-old Nathan Odea of South Cherry in Centralia for alleged domestic battery and violation of the sex offender registration act.

Centralia Police arrested 44-year-old Michael Fulford of North Lincoln in Centralia for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of drugs, and no valid driver’s license.

Salem Police arrested 27-year-old Torey Phelps of North Miller in Salem for alleged domestic battery.  Phelps is accused of battering a roommate just before four Thursday morning.  Police report the roommate had some injuries, but declined medical attention.

Salem Police arrested 42-year-old Anthony Strain of Boles Road in Alma on a Fayette County failure to appear warrant for possession of a controlled substance.   Strain was taken to the Marion County Jail where he was being held in lieu of $5,000 bond.

32-year-old Maleaha Durham of West Warmoth in Salem was arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding Clinton County warrant for failure to appear on a possession of controlled substance charge. Bond is set at $5,000.  She was later transferred to the Clinton County Jail at Carlyle.
