Police Beat for Sunday, August 13th, 2023

Central City Police have arrested 38-year-old Adrian Reyner of East 3rd in Centralia for alleged possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a revoked license.  He was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on final charges.

A 53-year-old Walnut Hill man has been returned to the Marion County Jail on an outstanding warrant to revoke his probation on a prior conviction for possession of methamphetamine.  Bruce Nauert of East Baseline Road is being held in lieu of $5,000 bond.  He was arrested in Jefferson County.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred at Missouri Avenue at Wall Street in Sandoval around 9:25 Saturday night.  65-year-old Marlin Hanks of Kinmundy reported his vehicle was struck by the other driver who was last seen eastbound on Missouri Avenue.  No injuries were reported.

The sheriff’s department is trying to determine the driver of a vehicle that ran off Kinmundy Road in rural Kinmundy.   The vehicle was found with no one around at 4:36 Saturday afternoon.  There did not appear to be any injuries.

The sheriff’s department is investigating a complaint from a resident on Sinclair Road in rural Kinmundy where someone reportedly removed a battery out of a vehicle and replaced it with a junk battery

The sheriff’s department was notified that a stop sign had been stolen from southbound Seven Hill Road at the Tonti Road intersection in rural Odin.  The stop sign was replaced.
