Both drivers were treated on the scene but refused hospital treatment following a crash late Thursday morning on US 50 near the Iuka-Omega Road intersection.
Initial reports from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department indicate a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Raymond Reynolds of Newton was eastbound on US 50 and had just completed passing another vehicle and couldn’t stop in time to avoid a westbound car driven by 49-year-old Michael Henson of Iuka who was in the process of making a left hand turn into his driveway. Reynolds struck the front driver’s side of the Henson vehicle.
Iuka Fire first responders and United Medical Response joined sheriff’s deputies in assisting on the scene. The crash was reported at 11:47 Thursday morning.
