Twelve contestants will vie to become the next Marion County Fair Queen at Tuesday night’s Queen and Little Miss competition before the fair grandstand.
The twelve are Maya Susmena, Kailey Brubaker, Kaitlyn Banning, and Marissa Wooters of Salem, Riley Daugherty, Krista Carter, and Cadence Brown of Centralia; Hailey Knox of Odin, Zoe Waggoner and Jillian Green of Kell, Emily Jenkins of Patoka, and Lindy Branch of Iuka.
Outgoing Queen Delaney Kell will crown the new queen. She said the past year has gone by quickly and she’s sad to see it end.
“Some of the highlights, local events at the Fairgrounds. We had our first vendor fair. We had our first Fall Brawl Demo Derby. I went to multiple parades along with Queen Paisley, and then I competed at State in January, and my social impact fundraiser I had in December was also a highlight.”
The fair queen pageant begins at seven Tuesday night.
