The Downtown Salem Historic Farmers Market will open for the summer season on Saturday in the parking lot of the Benjamin Edwards building in the 200 block of West Main Street.
Becky Timmerman says all vendors are invited to participate.
“My goals this year is everyone come in an orderly fashion, set-up, have fun, some lively music, lots of crowds and I really want to support small businesses. I’m tired of made in China.”
Timmerman says the market will be held every Saturday during the summer.
“9:00 to noon. We are going to have 9 vendors. There are 3 or 4 new ones. We are going to have 9 that are every week and 16 that are here sporadically so it should be a good market. I still need people who want to play music on the porch.”
If you are interested in playing on the porch or joining the vendors, you can contact Timmerman at Benjamin Edwards.
This is the third year for the Downtown Salem Historic Farmers Market.
