The Canadian National Executive Train made a stop at the Train Master’s Office in Centralia Monday evening as part of the railroad’s first-ever Safety Week across their entire network.
The Assistant Vice-President of Safety Matthew McClaren believes that zero is possible – zero harm, zero injuries and says the railroad is committed to an incident and injury-free workplace. Starting Monday and continuing until June 9, all work groups along with members of the Executive Committee will be in the field shoulder-to-shoulder engaging with colleagues to raise awareness.
McClaren says locally-led activities and yard visits have been planned to remind employees that nothing is more important than returning home safely to their loved ones. He notes safety is in everything we do, and this week is a great opportunity to rededicate ourselves to working safely.
