Centralia City Firemen were called to the Walmart Gas Station in the 1200 block of West McCord early Monday morning after a smoke alarm sounded. Upon arrival, they found the building full of smoke. However, the cause of the smoke could never be determined and the power was disconnected until Walmart could seek further assistance.
Fire officials were told repair work had been completed on Saturday on the replacement of some belts on equipment that could have possibly caused the problem.
The alarm came in at one Monday morning.
