Both drivers refused hospital treatment following a two vehicle crash on Route 37 South at Church Road south of Salem Tuesday morning.
Initial information from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department indicates 52-year-old Melissa Wheritt of South Pine Street in Centralia pulled from Church Road in front of a pickup truck on South Broadway driven by 71-year-old Michael Brooks of Hester Lane in Salem.
The Salem Fire Protection District was initially dispatched but found both drivers out of their vehicles upon arrival and no need for extrication.
Both were evaluated on the scene by United Medical Response and declined hospital treatment.
The crash occurred at 7:58 Tuesday morning.
