Wamac Police arrested two persons wanted on outstanding Marion County felony failure to appear warrants. 22-year-old Aryana Morgan of North Cherry and 28-year-old Derek Kirgan of South Walnut Street. Morgan was arrested on a pending possession of methamphetamine case. Kirgan was picked up on a pending case involving three counts of possession of a stolen card. Both were taken to the Marion County Jail where they are being held in lieu of $10,000 bond apiece.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an attempted burglary to a home in the 11-hundred block of South Perrine Avenue southeast of Centralia. Someone attempted to gain entry through a basement window on Thursday night and a dining room window sometime last week. The homeowner boarded up the impacted windows and screens.
