Marion County Clerk Steve Fox has released the write in vote results from Tuesday’s election.

Former Selmaville School Superintendent Robin Brooks fell short of having enough write in votes to gain a seat on the board.   He had 162 write-in votes.   Those winning the three board seats, who were all listed on the ballot, were Thomas Tate with 214 votes, William Blackburn with 195, and Larry Maxey with 188 votes.

Write in candidate Shawn Morris won a seat on the Salem Community High School Board.   He finished with 133 votes, defeating the other write in candidate, Kelli Jackson, who finished with 123 votes.   Also winning seats were the two candidates listed on the ballot, Sarah Meador who finished with 872 votes and Kyle Gansauer who finished with 808 votes.

Patrick Dagg received 31 write in votes to claim the two year unexpired term on the Odin School Board.   There was no candidate listed on the ballot.

These vote tallies are unofficial and will likely change with any late arriving vote by mail or absentee ballots over the next 12 days.
