New building activity in Centralia during February totaled $613,330.
A half-million dollar of that amount is for construction of solar arrays at Schiller School at 800 West 4th and Jordan School at 311 Airport Road.
In all 11 building permits were issued. A $40,000 permit was issued to Logan Haake to construct a home at 428 South Walnut. A $36,000 permit was issued to William Luebben on Oak Park Drive West for a pool and fence. Other permits were to install sheds, a ramp, sign, and carport.
There were two demolition permits issued for the month. They were to tear down homes at 617 North Poplar and 623 North Poplar.
