A 30-year-old Salem man escaped injury but was arrested following a single car crash late Wednesday night on Barton Road south of Nevada Road in rural Sandoval.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Jimmy Strauch of State Route 37 told them he swerved to miss a deer, ran off the east side of the road, overcorrected, and then ran off the westside of the road coming to rest on the side of his vehicle.
Strauch was not injured, but was arrested for driving on a suspended license, no mandatory insurance, and driving a vehicle with suspended registration. He was taken to the Marion County Jail where he was later released on a notice to appear in court.
The crash was reported at 10:58 Wednesday night. Sandoval Police handled the initial investigation.
