A 30-year-old Centralia man has been charged in Marion County Court with the Sunday burglary to an outbuilding at a home in rural Salem.
Bond for Preston Rinne was set at $15,000 during his first court appearance Monday afternoon.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports the owner reportedly discovered the burglary in progress by a step-family member.
Preston Rinne of South Davis in Centralia was later arrested at a home in the 1200 block of East Third in Centralia.
The sheriff’s department reports a chain saw, weed eater and welder that had allegedly been stolen were recovered.
A public defender was appointed to represent Rinne. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim or property if released on bond.
A preliminary hearing was set for March 21st.
