The Marion County Sheriff’s Department responded to three crashes Friday night all of which ended up not having injuries.

Deputies responded with the Kell Fire Protection District to northbound I-57 near the Route 161 intersection where a vehicle ran off the road down a ravine.  The driver, 35-year-old Jeffrey Jimenez, was out of the vehicle on his own and declined hospital treatment.   He was ticketed for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured vehicle.

State Police handled a crash in the 4100 block of County Farm Road in Salem where two vehicles had hit the same deer.  Police and the Salem Fire Protection District responded after the sheriff’s department had received an automatic crash notification.  The fire department reported everyone was able to get out of their vehicles on their own.

The sheriff’s department was also called to the 2600 block of State Route 161 where a pickup was found in a ditch off the roadway.   The driver, 73-year-old Sampson Morrison of Centralia, escaped injury.
