The Powerball jackpot also rolled this week and is now worth an estimated $325 million for Saturday night’s drawing. This means lottery players have over $1.4 billion up for grabs over the next few days.
This is the largest Mega Millions jackpot on offer since July last year when a single ticket bought in Des Plaines, Illinois scooped the largest prize ever won in-State of $1.34 billion.
If a player wins Tuesday’s massive grand prize, it would be the third-largest Mega Millions prize won in the game’s history.
Mega Millions is played every Tuesday and Friday night, with the next draw taking place on Tuesday, January 10 at 9.59 p.m. (CT). Powerball is played every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, with the next draw taking place on Saturday, January 8 at 9.59 p.m (CT).
