Police Beat for Monday, January 2nd, 2023

Centralia Police have arrested a 41-year-old Centralia man for alleged home invasion, aggravated battery, and aggravated assault.  Romero Braullo of Case Street was taken to the Marion County Jail.   No other details have yet been released.

Centralia Police have arrested 36-year-old Jeffrey Jolliff of East Broadway in Centralia for alleged domestic battery.

A 44-year-old Centralia man has been arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding felony failure to appear warrant on pending charges of armed violence, possession of under five grams of methamphetamine and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.  Harlis Moulton of South Locust Street was taken to the Marion County Jail where he is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond.

A 78-year-old Kinmundy woman escaped injury when her car struck a power pole on Kinlou Road east of Forbes Road in rural Kinmundy early Monday morning.  Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say the impact of being struck by the car driven by Connie Armstrong of Armstrong Road caused the pole to break off at the bottom.  However, the power lines stayed attached.  Tri-county Electric was called to make repairs.  The crash occurred at 1:05 Monday morning.
