A 37-year-old rural Salem man has been arrested by Salem Police for criminal trespass to a building and making a threat to a public official.
Salem Police say Trevor Cannon of Colestock Lane was arrested following an incident at Applebee’s Restaurant around nine Sunday night.
The initial call was to remove an unruly patron. Upon arrival, police say Cannon was outside and asked multiple times just to leave the property. Because he appeared intoxicated, police would not allow him to drive his vehicle and asked him to call for a ride. Police say Cannon eventually became unreasonable and made threats to come to the home of the officer and harm him and his family.
At that point, Cannon was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges.
