Police Beat for Monday, November 7th, 2022

A 36-year-old Crook, Colorado woman has been arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Deputies made the arrest of Jennifer Chewning when called to investigate a suspicious vehicle that had been parked along Airport Road south of Walnut Hill Road for nearly three hours on Sunday.

Five others were arrested on outstanding warrants.

  • 52-year-old Howard Howell of South Franklin in Wamac is being held without bond after being arrested by Wamac Police on an outstanding Randolph County failure to appear felony warrant on a retail theft charge.
  • 24-year-old Tabitha Street of West 17th in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding Franklin County felony failure to appear warrant on a pending making a false alarm charge. She was later transferred to the Franklin County Jail at Benton.
  • 51-year-old Misty Horton of West Broadway in Centralia was arrested by Wamac Police on an outstanding Marion County traffic warrant. She remains in custody in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
  • 56-year-old Jeffrey Steevens of North Miller in Salem was arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding Marion County warrant for failure to appear on an aggravated cruelty to animal charge. Steevens posted a $2,000 cash bond and was released.
  • 24-year-old Erika Weidner of Wheatland, Wyoming posted a $500 cash bond after being arrested on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant.
