The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating two small fires apparently set in a home in the 1600 block of Ticklen Road in rural Sandoval early Thursday night.
Sandoval Fire Protection District Chief Chad Parson says upon arrival they found the two fires had been extinguished by the home owner without any significant damage.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department had been called to the home after receiving a complaint that a man had set small fires on the bathroom and bedroom floors.
A suspect was questioned and released pending a decision by the state’s attorney’s office on if any charges will be filed.
The incident was reported at 7:15 Thursday night.
