Salem Bobcats Win Back 2 Back State Cross Country Titles, 3rd Trophy in 3 Years

The Salem Bobcats won their 2^nd straight State Class L Cross Country title after dominating the meet on Saturday.

Salem finished with 81 points, 21 better than 2^nd place Waterloo.

Salem’s Alex Spencer was the individual state champion in 10:17, Payton Gullion finished 6^th, Avery Gullion 14, Scout Puricelli 24 and Jacob Cape 81^st to bring home the title.  It’s the 3^rd straight year the Bobcats have brought home state hardware with a 2^nd place finish in 2020.

Centralia’s Jaxson Hancock finished 21^st overall in 11:10.
