The Salem Lady Cats tennis season came to an end over the weekend at the Centralia Sectionals with none of the Lady Cats advancing out to State. Olney won the team title with 27 points followed closely by Flora with 25 and Greenville with 24. Vandalia was 5th, Centralia 9th and Salem 10th.
Lanie Carder of Flora was the singles champ and advances along with Paige Mathias of Greenville, McKenna Snider of Olney and Ruthie Manor of Highland.
The Doubles Teams of Atwood and Burgener as well as Uhl and Potter from Olney will join Greenville’s Ridens and Schaufelberger as well as Cammon and Jennings of Flora.
Mt Vernon competed at Herrin and finished 7th as a team. Their doubles team of Alice Feltrin and Katie Fisher advanced as the 4th qualifier to state.
