The Salem Wildcats will host Freeburg for homecoming tonight as they Cats will be giving their fans something to cheer about after falling last week on the road at Columbia. Salem is 1-6 on the season trying to salvage the final 2 games with big nights. After homecoming this week, the Cats will honor their seniors hosting Charleston to finish up the year. Breese Central can clinch the Mississippi side of the Cahokia tonight as there are still several teams vying for a shot at a share. The Cougars host Columbia, one of those teams with an eye on capturing the title. Also rooting for Columbia tonight will be Wood River who will host rival Roxana tonight and with a win and Columbia win would also share their first ever Cahokia championship.
Centralia sits atop the South Seven at 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the league. They can clinch the outright title tonight, but opposing them is arch rival Mt Vernon. The Rams are 3-4 overall and 2-2 in the league after having 2 wins, including a conference victory, taken from them for mistakenly using an ineligible player for those game. They can still get a share of the title with a win over the Orphans. Althoff also has their eyes on a share if they get a Rams win along with taking care of business themselves over Cahokia at home. Marion also is 2-2 in the league and looking for a share if they get help and also a win over Carbondale at home.
