The Salem Lady Wildcats will host their 2a regional that will feed into the Breese Mater Dei Sectional.  Salem is the 8 seed and will open up Monday night at 7pm against 11th seed Flora.  It will be the 2nd match of the night following Lawrenceville and Greenville at 6pm.  The Salem/Flora winner advances to take on 4th seed Pana with the other opening night winner getting top-seed Newton.

At Shelbyville, 5th seed Vandalia will open with the 3rd seeded hosts.  At Hillsboro, 2nd seed Breese Central will play the Litchfield v. Carlinville winner and at Wesclin top-seed Mater Dei will open with the winner of Marquette and Piasa.  4th seed Wesclin gets either Roxana or Wood River.

Regionals feeding into the Pinckneyville Sectional include at Chester where Nashville is the sectional’s top-seed and will play the winner of DuQuoin and Chester.  At Sparta, 2nd seed Freeburg plays either Althoff or Sparta and 3rd seed Columbia gets either Pinckneyville or Red Bud.

In Class 1a, South Central is the sectional’s #2 seed and will host a regional that will begin on October 24th when the Lady Cougars take on Mulberry Grove followed by St Elmo against CHBC.  The other opening round games will be played the following night with 3rd seed North Clay taking on Clay City and #5 Patoka taking on Altamont.  The Regional champion will advance to the Webber Sectional.

Woodlawn will open as the 2 seed against either Crab Orchard or Pope County at Gallatin County with that regional also feeding into Webber.

Christ Our Rock is the 8 seed and will open up against Marissa.  12th seed Sandoval will open against #4 Okawville with that regional winner advancing to the Trico Sectional.

The 3a Centralia Sectional will include the champion from Herrin.  Centralia is the 2 seed and will open up against arch rival and 8 seed Mt Vernon.  3rd seed Herrin and Effingham play in the other semifinal.

At Olney, the hosts are the 7 seed and open up with Charleston with the winner rewarded with a match against top-seed Marion.

And in large school 4a feeding to the Normal Sectional.  The Belleville East Regional will see East opening with Collinsville in the rare 3-team regional with the winner playing for the title against top-seed O’Fallon.  At Edwardsville its 2-seed Edwardsville against Granite City and 4 seed Belleville West takes on Alton.
